Gostando eu tanto de registar acontecimentos, incomoda-me bastante que ninguém na minha família tenha o mesmo gosto.
Se calhar não é só a minha família, mas parece-me que é quando toda a gente à minha volta tem uma árvore genealógica pormenorizadamente desenhada até séculos de antecedência.
Admiro os clãs que têm álbuns fotográficos devidamente conservados, juntamente com a informação de quem lá consta. Ou não havendo imagens, que pelo menos tenham interesse em saber quem foi o tetravô, onde viveu e o que fazia na vida.
Há cerca de um ano resolvi que iria tentar juntar as peças do puzzle. Sei que cada membro da minha família tem umas quantas fotos, todas diferentes. E também sei que cada um sabe um pedacinho diferente da história da família.
Se conseguir juntar os retalhos, talvez as coisas comecem a fazer sentido.
Além disso, dá-me um gozo tremendo encontrar fotografias antigas tão bonitas. Há fotos de todos os tamanhos, em todos os locais, umas oficiais, outras comuns tiradas no dia-a-dia, dos amigos, dos carros e até da mobília.

I often get a little angry at my family members just because nobody really shares the love I have for keeping and remembering the past, specially through pictures.
Maybe it's not only in my family, but it looks like it when everybody around me has a well draughted genealogical tree, dating centuries back.
I really admire the clans that keep well preserved family albuns, along with records of who is who, in every picture. Or at least that have an interest in knowing who their great-great-grandfather was, where he lived and what he did in life.
About a year ago, I decided to try and put the pieces together. I know each member of my family owns a few photos. And I also know each one of them can tell me a little bit about the family history. If I manage to put all of this together, maybe something will start to make sense.
Above all, I love to find beautiful old photos. They come in all sizes, taken in all sorts of places, some oficial, some everyday photos. From friends, cars, and even furniture.
